Control activity principle
Coherent light-sensitive reflectometer:
A pulse is transmitted into the optic fiber and is scattered at refracted irregularities.
Backscattered signal is registered by the photodetector.
Due to light source high coherence length the backscattered signal becomes sensitive to vibration impact.
Variations in the backscattered signal caused by environment's impact on the fiber are picked by the equipment. The signal without impact virtually does not change in time, while in the presence of impact it begins to oscillate.
By means of signal filtering through special algorithms it is possible to locate the section where the impact occurs, as well as classify the source of oscillations.
